UKGKronos Cyber Events - What you need to know

Dear Customer,

On Monday, we learned UKG experienced a cyber security incident impacting the Kronos Private Cloud (KPC), which houses Workforce Central (WFC). We first want to reassure our clients that UKG and WFC-related services provided by Prime Care Technologies were not impacted by this incident. 

In addition to this UKG ransomware event, there is a separate Apache log4j vulnerability present in all Kronos and some other application environments. We’ve scanned our environment and await the necessary security patch for deployment to clients with affected apps hosted by Prime Care Tech.

Other Need to Know Info

  • If we host your UKG/Kronos apps, we will alert you in advance of the server downtime associated with applying the Apache log4j security patch. 

  • If KPC hosts your UKG/Kronos apps and you use primeVIEW, we took the precautionary measure of stopping all UKG/Kronos refreshes yesterday and until further notice. If you need past data, a “Labor Data Export" is now accessible in the Reports section (above Help question mark) on the menu bar

  • If you have any Prime Care Tech app/service, we are analyzing all applications for potential Apache log4j impact. We are also actively monitoring our systems for related exploits to promptly address, as needed.
